Fiber Optics are the state of the art of specialty lighting. No other lighting system can match the cool colors, low heat, and unique ambience of fiber optics.
To start with you need a light engine (DF150L) which will project
light up to 50 feet through the high efficiency fiber. The only light
bulb is in the light engine. Cut your fiber
optic cable to length with our
cutter or a hot knife and attach it to the harness in the light engine.
Turn on the engine and watch the fiber come to life! You can spin the
color wheel inside of the light
engine in order to select your favorite color.
You will need to choose between 3 types of fiber based on your application. If you want a neon like effect like the swimming pool
(photo to
the left), then you will want a sidelight cable. There are two types of sidelight cable, solid or multi-string. The solid is slightly more expensive
but gives the most uniform glow. If you would like to project
light through a fixture to achieve an effect like the fountain picture, (upper left corner), then you willneed our end light cable. End light cable runs from the light
engine to an end piece or lamp which projects the
light.
